I’m Ella (she/they)- I have been a licensed tattoo artist in Portland since July of 2023.

I like to create whimsical illustrative designs with eclectic stylistic elements including dot work, hatching, bold black shadows, and black and gray shading to create texture and depth. I often draw inspiration from etchings, woodblock prints, art deco, medieval art, vintage jewelry, and sculpture.

I mostly work in my own illustrative style, but I enjoy experimenting with different styles from time to time!

Imagery I enjoy includes: surreal imagery, figures/faces (human-ish), animals, plant life, trinkets (vintage objects, objects with personal meaning), abstract/ornamental designs, and mythical creatures.

I cherish the way that tattoos make me feel more at home in my body and I hope to help others feel the same.

I moved to Portland from the Bay Area to get a bachelors in Art History. Now I am channeling my passion for stories and art making into tattooing!

Tattooing has allowed me to build fulfilling connections and it is important to me to honor these connections by prioritizing communication and consent in my practice

My focus has been mostly on tattooing the last few years, but I am also a passionate painter and illustrator and hope to put more energy towards projects in those mediums in the future
